This Ramadhan as I said before is my busiest month ever...but on August 27th, Thursday was my busiest day of all....Grrr!
Wednesday 26th August, 3.45 pm
Datok Razhi told me to contact some personnel regarding their ad-hock order for goat BBQ. I was informed on Wednesday and the event was on Thursday - the next day! Plus, they requested 5 carcasses for about 500 people! We have a few hours to get ready so Datok asked 'em to reduce the quantity to 4 carcasses...
Wednesday 26th August, 4.30 pm
My bro, Ayen went to our farm to ease our farm worker, Mael to slaughter the goats needed for Thursday. I thought it would only be 4 goats, but another ad-hocker made an order of 2 carcasses (marinated only) to be sent to Bera! Plus, we also in need of a carcass for the Bazaar on Thursday...*sigh*. Total, we need to slaughter 7 carcasses for Thursday!!!
Wednesday 26th August, 7.50 pm
I've settled everything at the Bazaar and we're all packed-up. I called Bro Huzaimy (also my Boss) who was also at the farm to help out the slaughtering thing...I offered my help and he said it would be wonderful as they have a few goats needed to be skinned..So I went to Labu Lanjut, Sepang where the farm is situated. Oh, by the way...My Girlfriend was with me at that time, so I brought her there too =).
Wednesday 26th August, 8.20 pm
I arrived at the farm and there were 5 slaughtered goats which needed to be skinned...5 dude!!! We hang 3 of 'em and started the skinning process...and my girl was watching and experiencing my job...Nice! So she knows...hehe
Wednesday 26th August, 11.00 pm
We've skinned all the goats and the carcasses is ready to be marinated. Ayen and Bro Huzaimy went straight away to Datok's house and I went to Serdang to send my girl home. After saying goodnight I went down to Datok's to settle the job.
Wednesday 26th August, 11.55 pm
I arrived at Datok's and there were Ayen, Ron, Azmer and Bro Huzaimy. We cleaned the carcasses and arrange 'em on the table. Then the marination begun... It took us about an hour and a half to complete the process and it was almost 4 o'clock when we finished (the cleaning process took about 30 minutes and we rested for a while before started marinating)
Thursday 27th August, 4.15 am
We had our sahur at Datok's and everyone was exhausted...After the meal, we set up the fire to roast the carcasses...and I was sleepy...
Thursday 27th August, 5.00 am
My brothers started to roast the carcasses - 2 of 'em at one time using our grillers including a new modified metal racks. At that time, I can't help myself but lying down on the floor at the yard before I fell asleep...Sorry guys...
Thursday 27th August, 1.30 pm
I woke up for several times before and moved myself to some places to sleep...At 12 noon, a guy from Bera came and took away 2 carcasses. Another 5 carcasses were all roasted and ready to be served. Ayen and I cleaned up the mess we've made and getting ready for the event on the evening. Ron and Azmer were asleep as they also had to work at the bazaar dat evening..Ayen and I went back home at 2.30 pm to clean ourselves up and get ready to serve 4 goat BBQ at Dewan sri Endon, Putrajaya.
Thursday 27th August, 3.20 pm
We arrived at home...Ayen took his bath and I fell asleep...again! After I woke up, I bathed and got myself ready. I went to Putrajaya at 5 pm.
